3dSceneBuilder

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026

3dSceneBuilder is an architectural design app that runs in your web browser. This policy covers the website at 3dscenebuilder.com and the 3dSceneBuilder Connector browser extension.

In short

Your projects

Projects, settings, and the models and textures you add are stored in your browser's storage on your device. Projects you export as .3dsb files are saved where you choose. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes what is stored there.

Google Drive (optional)

If you connect Google Drive, you sign in on Google's own page and Google gives the app access to your Drive in your browser. Your browser then talks to Google directly:

If you publish a project as a viewer link, a copy of that project in your Drive can be opened by anyone who has the link, until you pause or delete that link. You can remove the app's access to your Drive at any time in your Google Account. The app's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

AI assistant (optional)

The assistant answers through an AI provider you choose: OpenRouter, Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, MiniMax, Z.ai, Moonshot AI, or your ChatGPT plan through the Connector. When you send a message, your browser sends it directly to that provider together with what the request needs: the conversation, a description of the relevant part of your scene, and any images you attach. That provider's own terms and privacy policy apply to what it receives.

The API keys you enter are stored in your browser on this device and, if you connect Google Drive, in the hidden app folder described above.

If your browser offers its own AI agent, 3dSceneBuilder can make its drawing tools available to that agent. What the agent sends and receives is handled by your browser and the agent's provider.

3dSceneBuilder Connector (browser extension)

The Connector lets the assistant answer on your own ChatGPT plan instead of a paid API key.

OpenAI's sign-in page names Codex: the Connector uses the sign-in OpenAI provides for using a plan in other programs, and replies count toward your plan's Codex usage. The use of information by the Connector complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Hosting

The website is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not use this information to identify or track you.

3dSceneBuilder is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
